Tier 2

81-400 hours accrued

Pay rate = $10.00/hr.

Prerequisites: 

  1. Tier 1
  2. Must successfully complete a one-to-one skills test and a written test.  Success is defined as an 80% or higher combined score.

 

During the accrual of 81-400 hours of recorded work-time, employees are expected to learn, acquire, and adhere to criteria - basic concepts and responsibilities - of the position which are listed below.

After an employee has accrued 400 hours of recorded work-time:

  1. They become ELIGIBLE to test or demonstrate the skills, concepts and responsibilities listed below; and 
  2. They may request to be tested via a one-to-one skills test, and a written test.

Upon successful completion of a one-to-one skills test and written test, the employee will advance to Tier 2, where they will receive an increase in hourly wage, and will be expected to learn, acquire, and adhere to the next criteria.

Responsibilities

  1. Train and accurately advise new employees on Tier 1 requirements.
  2. Humanity:
    1. Know how to request shifts
    2. know how to update weekly availability
    3. Know how to update "Future Availability"
    4. How to find "Who's On Now"
    5. How to find "Statistics: Total Hours"
    6. Know how to adjust notification settings
    7. How to view all of Tech Crew schedule
    8. How to view other area schedules
    9. How to view total scheduled (weekly / monthly) hours
  3. EMS:
    1. Know how to access EMS on the office computer.
    2. Know how to access daily building reports.
    3. Know how to print daily building reports using the Room 212 printer.

  1. Know the storage locations of all technical equipment.
  2. Tools:
    1. Adjust drill/screw gun torque (preventing screw stripping)
    2. How to remove stripped screws. 
    3. Demonstrate how to use a ratchet strap.

      2. Flatbed cart
      3. Dolly
      4. Cart
  3. Midas Console
    1. Power on / off.
    2. Set Master fader to zero.
    3. Navigate to and load show preset/snapshot.

    1. Update laptops and computers bi-weekly to prevent computers being kicked off network.
    2. Set laptop in middle of, or opposite side from video inputs in BR1.  Connect the video output to the BR projection system.
  6. Set and breakdown the Roland electric piano.
  7. Set Danley Subwoofer in Ballroom for a movie.
  8. Setup road case front/back as a table.
  9. Set and troubleshoot webcam packages.
  10. Projectors
    1. Replace lamp.
    2. Clean filter
    3. Reset lamp/filter counter
